The Death of Mid-Terms

Last week was very stressful considering I had a few tests and papers due in my classes. This up comming week I will have 2 more tests, one in Karate and one in swimming.

My mid-term for my ropes corse class is Wednesday night and pretty much our teacher told us to bring a date or someone and we'll get to go on the Halloween canoe thing on the river and then we're going to climb the wall and play on the giant swing. Now that's my kind of mid-term!

My mid-term for my racquette ball class has been canceled. My teacher thought that it was better idea for us to play in a tournament instead of testing. So he is setting all his classes up to play each other in a tournament like bracket thing. This should be interesting. I guess it's better than a test and if you loose, oh well!

I'll be getting my scores back this week for my aerobic and wilderness skills. I think I did ok. The lowest I think I could have got on a test was a C and 15 out of 25 on my paper for wilderness. So not too bad. I should have studied a bit more though!

Fall Break!

Wow, I had a weekend! It was fall break for UVSC, so we got Thursday and Friday off of school. Thursday I worked alot and did homework. Friday I took work off and I went camping at the San Rafael with my family, aunt Debbie, uncle boyd and my friend Shawn.

We did alot of 4-wheeling and had a great time. I slept in the back of my truck on air mattresses and every one else was in a tent. I put up a shade cover gazebo type thing over my truck and it's a good thing I did because it rained early in the morning and didn't stop till about noonish. I would have been soaked!

We had mud every where, but it was so fun to play in with the 4-wheelers. Shawn was driving the 4-wheeler that I was on, and I looked down to our shoes to discover that the mud that the front tire was kicking up was all comming onto my feet and legs. There was so much mud you couldn't tell I was wearing shoes, all you could see was a pile of mud.

We did a bit of hiking, but not too much, and we didn't go rabbit hunting, that was a disappointment, but I did run over a dead rabbit on the highway comming home.

My truck now has dirt all over it. It's a half brown and slightly green truck. I think it looks hot! I have recieved a few coments from friends that have seen my truck mostly just saying how much fun it looked like I had had! Yes, it was GREAT!

No Need To Argue

"No Need to Argue" by The Cranberries

There’s no need to aruge anymore
I gave all I could
But it left me so sore
And the thing that makes me mad
Is the one thing that I had

I knew, I knew, I’d lose you
You’ll always be special to me

And I remember all the
Things we once shared
Watching tv movies on
The living room armchair

But they say it will work out fine
Was it all a waste of time
Cause I knew, I knew, I’d lose you

You’ll always be special to me

Will I forget in time
You said I was on your mind
There’s no need to argue
No need to argue anymore
There’s no need to argue anymore
Special

Some days are better than others

I haven't been feeling up to par lately. I have been so exhausted all week. My cold is finally about gone, but I still am having problems.

My swimming class went as usual, I swam the 600 meters and about died in the six feet area. Then I stayed in the water too long talking with Sarah who is a new friend and is in the class, so I was late getting to campus and late for my karate class.

We did timing work on the punching bags which is a work out all on its own and is straining. Then we go beat each other up which is my favorite time of the day, but today I just wanted to lay down on the mat, so I let this other girl do some throws on me so I could lay down. I didn't care how I got to the mat as long as it happend!

Aerobics I was late to as well and I didn't do a whole lot while in class though i felt exhausted afterward.

I went to work, and got out as soon as I could, but there was alot of extra work for us to do, so it took more time that usual and all I could think about was going home.

Almost Perfect

So today was a wonderful day! I went to sleep at almost 2:30 AM last night. I was up talking to Sam, who's a good friend of mine, on the phone about anything and nothing and it was a wonderful conversation. When we hung up I went and brushed my teeth and layed down in bed. I cuddled up into my fort of pillows and fell asleep.

I awoke this morning feeling really well; lately I have had a cold and it hasn't been nice to me, but this morning I woke up and could breath! I rolled out of bed at about 10AM and got ready for the day. I called my dad and he convinced me to go to his house to watch the BYU football game with him, so i did. We watched the exciting yet uneventful game. BYU slaughtered San Diego which is good, but there wasn't much competition and early in the third quarter BYU being 40 and San Diego being 3, you could tell who was going to win. So it wasn't that exciting of a game.

I went to back my apartment and finished the game so I wouldn't have to deal with traffic when the game got over. I got something to eat and went to my friends apartment (131) and chilled there until we all went to our ward activity that was up Provo canyon. We played a little frizby, volleyball and football. I scored a touch down on the last play of the football game. The quarterback on my team (John) threw the ball to another guy (John) and John fumbled it and I just happened to catch Johns fumble and I ran it into the end zone! It was great. We then had a fire and roasted marshmellows, made smores and had a great time as a ward.

Shawn, a friend of mine who lives in 131 and I left the canyon when it started to get dark. We went back to Provo where we got a few items for our date. We went to Grandview Elementary and played night golf. This is a GREAT date idea! I got the idea from my friend Chad who made up the idea. You get 2 small woofle balls (the ones about the size of a golf balls), 3 glow sticks and 2 golf clubs (we used the 9 irons). You crack the glow sticks and shove 1 in each of the woofle balls so you have 2 glowing balls. Then you place the other cracked glow stick somewhere as your goal and you hit the woofle balls to the glow stick and see who can do this in the least amount of hits. Well, we put our glowstick on top of the playground and in the tennis court and other random places. Shawn and I had a great time.

We also went to Smart Cookie. For those of you who don't know what Smart Cookie is, just know that it's the best place to get icecream sandwhiched by cookies and it only $2! Then we went back to his apartment and watched a movie till curfew.

Oh, it was a great day, almost perfect! The only thing that I could have asked for was that I didn't have a cold! It's getting better, but it still sucks!

Rippling

It's so difficult for me to have a friend tell me about something they are doing that I know and they know is wrong. And the worst part is that I can't say or do anything to change their mind. It frustrates me to no end to think that someone I care about is doing something stupid with their life and they don't care. Well, I care. Does that not mean anything? Apparently not.

They have no clue how deeply their actions effect others. When you make a choice good or bad, it causes a ripple affect. No matter what decision it is, it will effect someone for good or for bad. Be careful with the choices you make. Especially with large and impacting ones.
