Independance

The only time that you are the most independant is when you are the most dependant upon God.

I'm Not As Think You Drunk I Am

Last Thursday my family went to Skyline (kinda by salina, Utah) to go camping and horse back riding. We got up there and set up camp and took off riding horses for 2 hours which I thought was a long ride until the next days trip which was 7 hours. I tell you what- riding on a horse for that long is really painful! The third day we road for 3 hours to a cave and water fall and I remembered just how much it was going to hurt the moment I sat on the saddle, but the thought of how fun it was was all the motivation I needed to stay up on the horse.

During our camping trip there was a few things that made it nothing shy of interesting. The most interesting of them all was Kain. Kain is my moms step brothers step son. I believe this was the first time that I have met him. I don't remember my initial thought about him when we arived at camp, but my opinion blossomed into plainly interesting.

The first night I was the last one to go to bed other than Kain. The two of us sat around the camp fire not saying too much to each other, but when he did speak his sentences wreaked of the affects of alcohol. I listened to his life story and how much he loved his mom with a twist of red wine and beer.

Friday night Tori my neice was having problems with her asthma again so I stayed up with her around the fire with Kain. This time Kain wasn't just drunk, but he was waisted. His drunken acts and speach were even more entertaining this time. After knocking things over and retelling his life story he finally passed out in a chair. When he came to he decided to go to bed, but was disoriented. He crawled under the table and around the fire and somehow eventually made it back to his tent.

The last night (Saturday night) he wasn't so drunk. Only having a few beers, and a small amount of wine, he told Tori and I that he needs to quit drinking the wine becuase it was evil stuff. He also said that he needs to quit smoking, but he would need to quit drinking first because he only smokes when he drinks and he only drinks when he smokes. What a character!!!

My family said that we are deffinately going back next year to camp and ride horses again. I guess this means that once a year every year I'll be seeing him. I can't wait for next years drunken entertainment.
