The Weekend Get-Away
I went on vacation with my family over the weekend to Panguitch which is in southern Utah to see my cousins baby blessing. On the way down we had car trouble. As if the drive wasn't long enough the car died and we sat in the car forever. Finally we tried to start it again and it started so off we went, but a few more miles down the road it stalled again and we started the tradition of what we would go through for the next 50 miles or so: van dying, coasting as far as we could, stopping and letting it sit for about 10 min., restarting and driving for as long as we could until it died. When we got into Panguich we got to our motel room and after unloading everything we took it to a shop. We found out the problem, which was what we had already thought it to be, the fuel pump was out.
Well, the rest of our vacation was kind of blah because of the van problem. We had planned on going fishing, and play in a lake, but no, we were stuck without a vehicle and with out fishing poles since they were in the vehicle and locked up.
We did spend alot of time at my cousin Katie's house playing with her children and her sister's (Bobby) kid who wanted to watch the movie "Cars" over and over. I think we saw that movie about 5 times between the 2 days.
But despite it all, I did have a descent vacation from life and as soon as I got back Sunday night, life smacked my in the face. I had to move apartments, unpack everything, started the constant peek to see if my grades were posted on line (which I know in my head wont be for another week or 2).
