The Miracles from Heaven.
So, my job as a Ranger will be over after this up coming holiday. I have interviewed for 2 other jobs and am going back to school. The one thing that I can't get over thinking about is the miracles that have occured up the canyons this summer. There were miracles that happened to me, most of them very personel, and I witnessed or heard about miracles that happened to other people as well.
One miracle happened to a 16 year old boy and his passengers. I heard that the 16 year old rolled his vehicle off a cliff while he was speeding down the Alpine Loop (SR 92). He rolled his vehicle and it landed up side down, none of the vehicles occupants were wearing seatbelts. Amazingly enough, there was not one scratch or a drop of blood was lost. The FPO's that told me about the incident were the first to respond to the accident. They could not believe that anyone survived the accident.
Another miracle happened to another gentleman and his vehicle. The gentleman decided to park his vehicle on the Alpine Loop (SR 92). As he did so, he pulled too far off the road and his front tires were hanging over the edge and his vehicle was teetering off the edge. I received the report from a concerned citizen who wanted some rope or chain to pull the vehicle back onto the road. I was thinking out loud to a co worker of mine and mummbled to her "I hope that everyone is out of the vehicle." A few minutes later I received a call from my partner who was on the highway, he told me that he had received word that the driver was still in the vehicle with his foot on the break, keeping his vehicle from going over the edge. The citizen that had originally informed me of the teetering vehicle had taken it upon himself to help and was able to pull the vehicle to safety. This situation could have been a lot worse and I am very thankful it wasn't. Thanks to a concerned, caring, and coragous person nothing bad happened.
Making it through the hot summer working on trails was a miracle to me. When my body was sore or very tired and I felt I couldn't make it, Heavenly Father gave me just enough strength and energy to carry on. When I was frustrated with people or co workers, He calmed me. And when I thought I was going to have to do something that I physically could not do, he preformed miracles.
I am deeply greatful to Heavenly Father for his kindness and caring.
